When we launched "Save Hiatus" in 2008, we went with a large 3-row, full-color format which really gave Adam room to stretch his artistic abilities. It also forced him to give up sleeping, so in 2009 we changed to the one-row B&W format and upped the publication days to three a week. These strips are Vol. 1, from back in the day. A group of students at MIT set out to recreate the scientifically plausible (if unlikely) plasmic stardrive of the Venture, but funds ran out before they completed anything beyond the admittedly bitchin' Captain's chair.
